Business Development Manager

Job Description:

Part of management team for growing consulting engineering firm with responsibility to facilitate sales growth in a relationship driven business environment. Exceeding our client’s expectations is critical to our success and theirs. We can only do this through an intimate understanding of their needs, their expectations and their organizations.

Our Business Development Manager will understand our client’s needs and expectations, communicate those needs and expectations to our organization, and steward our execution of work on behalf of our clients, to consistently meet their requirements and exceed their expectations.

Experience:

  • Sales & Marketing: 10+ years with a minimum of the past three years as Sales and/or Marketing Manager
  • Must have demonstrated excellence in Client Relationship Management
  • Direct sales and marketing experience in the petroleum or petrochemical fields is a big plus.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Identification of business opportunities with new and existing client base.
  • Development of work proposals with technical/consulting staff.
  • Develop and manage marketing plan.
  • Primary client point of contact with company. Will ensure client needs are met by company (some project management).
  • Attendance at industry meetings including periodic presentations of company’s capabilities (technical papers).
  • Strategic planning.
  • Recruiting technical assets to support sales growth.

Educational Requirements:

  • BA/BS Degree from Accredited Four Year College or University.
  • MBA or other advanced degree desirable.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Base salary and bonus commensurate with experience, candidates must include salary requirements with resume. Candidates who do not include salary requirements will not be considered.
  • Bonus is based on performance and may include restricted stock as well as cash.
  • 401K Plan, with 5% employer matching contribution and immediate vesting.

Location:

  • Position will be in either Boonton, NJ (NYC Area) or Swedesboro, NJ (Philadelphia Area)
